WestPres Christian Preschool

We believe children have a unique sense of Jesus' nature and are in tune with their spirituality. Jesus told his disciples not to get in the children's way when they came to see him. He clearly stated we must receive the Kingdom of God like a little child. Jesus then blessed the children and took them into his arms. What a wonderful picture this paints of how we, as educators, are to accept children!

Wonderland preschool's education is God-centered. The existence of God is central to all our teachings. God is revealed in His written Word, the Bible. He is revealed through the teachings of His Son, Jesus Christ. He is revealed through His creation, the world.

Jesus is the mediator between God and man. He died for us so that our sins are forgiven, and we can go to God with our praises and prayers. One who accepts Jesus Christ becomes a Christian. The Holy Spirit teaches and guides each Christian to God's truth.

The purpose of education is to nurture and nourish. Knowledge of the Bible is essential to a child's physical, mental, social, and spiritual development.

God's word is integrated into each component of Wonderland's curriculum. Lesson content and teaching methods are geared to each child's level of understanding. Although God gives to parents the primary awesome responsibility of teaching and disciplining their children, Wonderland's privilege is to assist families in raising well-rounded, Christian children.

Wonderland offers preschoolers hands-on learning opportunities. Much of what happens at Wonderland Christian Preschool may look like play...because it is! Play serves an important function in a child's physical, emotional, cognitive and social development. Children choose from a variety of carefully crafed, theme-related activity centers. During Circle Time, children are exposed to Bible memory verses and stories, music, mathematics, and literacy skills.

A Note from the Director:

We believe children succeed when a strong bond forms between family and school. Our team of teachers and assistants are prayerfully waiting to meet your child. Our goal is to help raise up children who love God immensely, and who leave Wonderland ready to take on the world of all-day kindergarten.

If you would like more information, have any questions, or would like to see our facilities, please feel free to call anytime 509-966-1900.

Blessings to you and your family!
